The Atlantic, a hub of left-wing lunacy, now claims that SUICIDE is caused by … guess what? … climate change

It’s not just “global warming” that humanity has to worry about as a consequence of the alleged phenomenon known as man-made climate change, according to leftists. Suicide is apparently another major concern, as more people apparently take their own lives the warmer it gets outside.

This is the latest claim of climate fanatics, anyway, with one of its media cheerleaders, The Atlantic, having recently published an article that tries to scare its readers into paying more carbon taxes or whatever as a way to help curb greenhouse gas emissions.

Reflecting on a report published by Nature Climate Change, a monthly journal focused on identifying the “underlying causes or impacts of global climate change,” the article by The Atlantic claims that “unusually hot days have profound effects on mental health and human physiology” – and all “unusually hot days,” of course, are automatically caused by climate change.

Somehow, these climate-obsessed researchers came to the conclusion that “roughly 14,000 people – and as many as 26,000 – could die by suicide in the United States by 2050” as a result of global warming. It emphasizes further that this dire outcome simply can’t be avoided if “humanity does not reduce its emissions of greenhouse-gas pollution.”

There’s also data points claiming that if the temperature in a given month is one degree Celsius warmer then normal, then the suicide rate in the United States will increase by 0.7 percent. It’s apparently worse in Mexico, where the suicide rate soars by 2.1 percent.

Climate fanaticism is hilariously anti-science

Note the article’s use of the word “could” to describe the increase in suicide rates – this open-ended verbiage being a hallmark of climate research that comes to bizarre conclusions such as this. Despite the fact that climate change dogma has zig-zagged between “global warming” and “global cooling” over the years depending on actual weather conditions, climate fanatics are sure that warm temperatures make people kill themselves, and that all warm temperatures are caused by climate change.

One of the study’s authors, Professor Marshall Burke, cast an apocalyptic light over the dubious conclusions of his research. He declared that warmer temperatures and increased suicides mean that everyone is a “loser” in such a scenario. “There are no winners,” he stated dramatically.

It would be funny if it weren’t so pathetically sad – the idea that bouts of uncomfortably sweaty weather are caused by carbon dioxide, which is apparently killing people at record rates. This latest scare tactic of the climate-worshipping left just goes to show how insanely anti-science the party of “science” actually is with such nonsense.

Keep in mind that a small blip at the end of the article by The Atlantic reveals that climate change isn’t exactly a primary cause of suicide, as implied by the research. It’s merely the conclusion that climate fanatics have come to in support of their theory that cars, cow farts, and breathing are substantially altering the climate norms of our planet.

Further blowing holes in this latest example of leftist pseudoscience is the fact that Alaska, the coldest state in the nation, currently has the second highest suicide rate among all 50 states. This would suggest that any temperature median outside of a comfortable 72 degrees and tropical makes people more depressed – as does a lack of sunshine – and that none of this has anything to do with a mythical concept like climate change.

It’s difficult to say when the Left will finally abandon the dead horse known as climate change, which most sane people who’ve done their research now reject. But for the time being, you can expect increasingly more climate madness from the hysterical climate lunatics desperately trying to scare you into complying with their globalist agenda.
